Let Us Introduce Ourselves
Over forty seven years ago a small group of
Christians started a Sunday School in the Orange Hall on Steveston
Highway. In due course this Sunday School grew into a local Christian
assembly that met on Gilbert Road in the building where the Salvation
Army presently meets. In 1963 another move, this time to 5651 Francis
Road, where a newly constructed building housed our local Christian
assembly for thirty eight years until it was severly damaged by fire on
September 17th , 2001. After a period of planning and reconstruction a
new facility, pictured on the home page, was opened on April 28th,
2004.
Although a building is important, the most important
thing about the West Richmond assembly is the people. We come from all
walks of life and all kinds of backgrounds; we are happy about our
diversity. The one thing we hold in common is a belief in the
unchanging message of the Bible, the Word of God.
Jesus said .... " Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy
laden and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11 : 28
